Discover: Four Square And Your Business

Foursquare.com is being hailed as the Twitter of the 2010.  So what does that have to do with your enterprise business?  Everything.

We are a small payroll services company that tried to discover how to use Four Square to grow our clientele.  We’ve advertised, optimized our website, and traditionally marketed our business.  How to do we increase our business using the newest form of marketing-social media

The first thing that you need to do is get your business listed:

Create a profile for yourself, not your business.  Optimize your profile pages by completely filling it out with your picture, your information, etc.

See if you business is already listed, someone may have already “found” you.  If your business is not listed on Four Square, go to “add things”

You can now set up your business on Four Square by clicking “add a venue”

Let people know where to find you on Twitter

Optimize your business on Four Square by using the tags/keywords that you want to be listed for.

Sync Four Square with your mobile device and become the mayor of your location.

You’re all set up!

This is just the beginning of using Four Square to enhance your business.

The secret to Four Square:

Connections and playing the game

We’ve spread what we’ve learned and how to “play the game” with our friends who have their own document scanning services business, as well as another friend who does marketing for a used medical equipment company, and they have all seen an increase in sales since.
